Bicycle Drawing
You may think that drawing a bicycle is easy, but its not at all. Not even in the slightest bit. Looking at one section of the bike and picturing how you are going to place it on the white sheet is difficult. Your eyes see one thing but your hand doesnt seem to feel it on the paper. Not everything that your eye sees will come out on the paper like you expected. Shading and coloring are two completely different things. I learned that while creating my bike drawing. Shading is what gives a drawing the depth that it needs to look real. With a bike you need to make the tires look like tires and not round black circles and all the metals need to look like metals not like gray rectangular looking shapes. The different shades of the pencils I used helped to create the realistic-ness of a bike. In the very first picture below you can see how just a regular pencil doesn't do much for a picture, but the different types of pencils used in the second picture give the bike what it needs to look real. These are the before and after pictures.

Welcome to my blog!
Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Abigail, Abby for short. I'm a dancer and cheerleader that loves to use her body to express herself. Art to me seems the same way, although I dont get to use my body I get to use colors and textures that express the mood I'm in. Whether happy, sad or angry the painting on the white paper at the end of the day will always be beautiful. Enjoy my art, they have great meaning.
